Important deadline for ICC Chapters: As summer approaches, it is important to remember that your ICC Annual Chapter Report is now due. This report must be submitted to ICC by June 1st in order for your Chapter to qualify for the full benefits that ICC provides to its Chapters, including the annual chapter educational benefit (free day of training). The report can be filled out and submitted online or can be downloaded and submitted by fax or mail:

Building Safety Week (BSW) was a great success this year. As communities across the country celebrated the importance of building, the ICC Board, IAS Board, Government Relations Advisory Committee (GRAC) and several of our Chapter leaders were in Washington D.C. to promote the Community Building Code Administration Grant Act (CBCAG) on Capitol Hill. Thanks to the hard work and diligence of our Government Relations staff, we were able to meet with over 100 members of Congress to discuss CBCAG and how it will help our members and communities to build better code enforcement programs. If your Chapter has not yet adopted a resolution in support of the Community Building Code Administration Grant Act, its time to step up and do your part! Please take the time at your next Chapter meeting to support CBCAG by adopting a resolution, and by encouraging our members to send letters to their Congressional representatives. Also, nominations are now being accepted for ICC awards that will be presented at the Annual Business Meeting in Minneapolis this fall. This is a great way to recognize the contributions of our members, chapters, and affiliates to ICC's mission of safety in the built environment. The deadline for submitting nominations is June 16th.
